[Presentations and Panel] Can More Universal Acceptance of Domain Names Contribute to the Growth of Internationalized Domain Names (IDNs)?

IDNs and the Universal Acceptance (UA) of domain names are two important topics for a truly multilingual Internet. This session will start with a presentation highlighting EURid's latest IDN World Report, and then feed into a panel discussion that will cover the ICANN’s work on IDNs and UA, and the current efforts of the UA Steering Group (UASG). Specifically, we will hear from the Measurement working group on their findings with regard to the growth of UA awareness globally, and hear from a local UA initiative on their work pushing for UA of domain names.
