Mouhamet Diop is the CEO of NEXT SA, an innovative Consulting Company, Service Integrator specialized in the management of innovation, technology and Strategic development with IT Technologies, for Social Development (Education, Health, etc.). Mouhamet Diop is also the CEO and Chairman of Kheweul.Com the first ICANN accredited registrar operating in Africa working on the management of domain names and hosting. He successfully launched several initiatives to create and drive Content Innovation and Content Creation for Creatives Industries in Africa (MyMusicOnline, Africa Content Initiative, .ORG for Africa, etc.) He recently got the award of the Best African Registrar at the ICANN Meeting in Durban, South Africa, July 2013. He is engaged in all issues related to the development of New Technologies in Africa. He is currently the chair of the Governmental Accelerated Strategy Growth cluster related to the ICT and Teleservices. He is the coordinator and founding member of AfRegistrar, the African ICANN Accredited Registrar Organization, which is composed of all seven Registrars in Africa. Former ICANN Board Director, the organization responsible for the technical coordination at the international level on issues related to Internet governance, Mouhamet Diop is involved in various constituencies,committees and Working group at ICANN, at the IGF and through many fora related to Internet Governance Issues. Mouhamet Diop was a member of the Task Force on the Government of Senegal and the Digital SolidarityDigital Solidarity Fund. He is the President of the Senegalese IT Association (SITSA), a member of the Global Alliance WITSA (www.witsa.org) and is also Permanent Secretary of ISOC Senegal, member of the Alliance ISOC International. He has worked with the Ministry of Foreign Affrairs on Project ADEN (support for opening digital) in the design of training materials management and financial and sustainability of ADEN centers. World Bank, ITU, UNIDO, UN and Africa Union Consultant, Mouhamet Diop is involved in the Internationalization of Domain Names (IDN) and participates in the work of UNESCO, the ACALAN, in the Promotion of Multilingualism in cyberspace,and for the computerization of languages. At the regional level, the company NEXT radiates Gambia, Burkina Faso and other countries in the sub-region. NEXT has significantly improved the development of Call Centers and the introduction of innovative technologies in African and Senegalese firms. Mouhamet Diop, a telecom engineer, graduated from University Cheikh Anta Diop of Dakar, from ESMT (Dakar), from ENST Bretagne (FRANCE) and holds a DEA in computer sciences (Parallelism and Distributed Systems - IRISA Rennes) and a MBA in Finance and Stock Markets from ESSEC (Cergy - Paris). Before he set up his first company NEXT SA, Mouhamet Diop worked for the Incumbent, The National Telecoms operator (SONATEL) and set up the largest IP Based network in Sub-Saharan Africa (1998). Afrinic founding member, the African Internet Registry, Mouhamet Diop remains very involved and concerned about a stronger african presence in the Management of the Cyberspace.
